However I see this item is not showing on Amazon. Will have to look into this. Otherwise order direct at www.StrikeSensor.com **Q: How long do these batteries last on the sensors?** A: The battery in the receiver (beeper) will last about 78 hours while "on" ready for a tip-up to trip. The receiver can also be powered with an optional AC or DC adapter which is sold separately. The batteries in the transmitters only draw current when they are activated. Transmitter batteries will typically last the whole season. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ How the product works *by C***R on January 13, 2019* Ordered for my son-in-law for Christmas. When I recently talked to him he was loving it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dependable still after 20+ years of use *by M***K on February 21, 2022* I have used this system since they started selling them in the late 1990’s. They have never let me down as long as I kept new batteries in them. I have used them for catfishing from shore in the summer and more so for my tip ups in the winter. I could not recommend another product any more then these. I’ve used the new blue tipz, but they have not always worked when the temperatures get below zero. Range is around 150-200 yards which is well past DNR tip up distance anyways.
