I believe the problem is that this product is made from actual earth clay so it is much heavier than other clays that are made partly from recycled paper products. I regret not choosing one of the other clays I have worked with before. I chose this clay because it is universal it can be sculpted, spun on a wheel, air-dried, fired, and glazed. So I expected it to be the best for all projects and did not consider why different clays are normally used for different types of uses. I have only attempted to use it for air drying and it is by far inferior to other brands I have used for air drying projects. I have never used a kneading machine so I don't know that one would help prepare the clay to an acceptable state for molding, but I personally don't think this is a good air-drying clay. **Q: Is this suitable to use with silicone molds?** A: from my understanding, it is, though I have only tried using it to create a silicone mold for future casting. it can be cast from a silicone mold. Personally, I think that the clay itself is not good clay and all my finished products have cracked and crumbled while drying. **Q: I'm planning to make tablets to write in Cuneiform without having to invest in a furnace when I saw that it dries quickly.
