Was looking for a replacement French style 17 hole (low B) flute case…This is a solid case that’s fits my flute like a glove and you certainly can’t beat the price…

I needed to replace the case for my 50-odd year old flute. (While the flute still plays sweet, the case hadn't aged as well.)This case does the trick; it accommodates the headjoint and body very nicely; also, it has enough room for my B-foot. The pieces are secure and won't bang against each other.Note that this case comes as you see it; you'll need to get a soft outer cover for your cleaning rod and cloth.

Returned it immediately. Sloppy padding and doesn’t fit flute. Inaccurate description as can’t see the inside.

For the price I can’t be mad at it…I got this to replace the broken case on a step-up Gemeinhardt I’m restoring as a project, and for that it’s just fine. The case is okay enough, but there are some small things that aren’t great. The latches don’t close smoothly; you have to fiddle with them a little to line them up. There’s also a good bit of excess glue peaking out around the lining. It smelled strongly of chemicals and I had to let it air out in the sun for a day, too. If you just need a very basic case to get the job done, this works, but maybe don’t buy it thinking it will wholly replace the worn out case that came with a higher end flute.

Not the same quality as the original Yamaha flute case, but ok for the money. I think my flute will be protected well enough.

It has a smell I couldn't get out, even after airing outside for two days. If you're in a bind, it'll work. But save up and buy something more substantial.
