The right channel sounds like a volcano. It is absolutely the turntable that is defective. THe amplifier and cable were tested first. Both are noiseless, within expected ranges. But the noise in the right channel makes the turntable unusable. As far as I am concerned, that is not a problem of design. It is a problem of quality control on the assembly line. Either the problem existed before it was shipped, in which case it SHOULD have been found before shipping, or there is some intermittent problem that shook loose in shipping. In either case, this should have been found before it was shipped to FBA.
