Excellent scent and hold

Following the largely positive reviews, I purchased this item last month. My previous wax from Penhaligon’s has been discontinued, and I was hoping that this would fill the void.Main criticisms:*It is so solid I have to use the back of a comb to get any out - even a fingernail isn’t enough. Other brands supply a scraper, but this one doesn’t.*It is quite white when rubbed between forefinger and thumb.*On application, it’s clumpy and doesn’t spread well.*After applying even the smallest amount of heat from a hairdryer, the wax beads on the moustache and unless you’re paying attention, can clump even worse!*when brushed through with heat, the moustache is quite gritty and remains solid for just half an hour. The slightest of warm breath and it evaporates. Applied at 07:30, it’s useless by 10:00am.On a positive note, it smells lovely, and isn’t offensive under the nostrils for a while!

Second review on this, as lived with it for a few months, and tried several other waxes.I’ve yet to find a moustache wax a truly like, maybe my expectations are too high, but this has been much better than the others.The key is to blast it with a hot hair drier first to loosen it up and make it easier apply. Don’t completely melt it, just warm it up.Then, don’t over apply. Too much will cause your moustache hairs to clump together. Use less than you think you need. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but this is the was I keep comparing others too.

I've not needed moustache wax for a years, but have recently been growing a moustache again, and my previous wax of choice is no longer made.This wax is very good, easy to use, you can get it pliable just by rolling a small amount between your fingers, but it is easier to give it a quick blast with a hairdryer before applying.Nice scent but not overpowering, being under your nose!Very pleased with my purchase.

I like Capt Fawcett moustache wax, having used Booze and Baccy, and Maharajah before. This is equally as good wax, but the scent isn't very strong, I can hardly smell it.
