So I opted for this one, it is really cute and looks great with my village, but only the horses underneath rotate around so it is hard to see the motion completely like my other carousel in which the entire thing (top, bottom and figurines) all rotated around. This one is completely stationary on top and bottom and only the figurines underneath move. But for the price, it is still cute and works well. Hope is lasts 30 years like my other one. Got two entirely different answers! Please clarify!** A: I just plugged one in and it does NOT play Christmas music, it plays a "carousel type" melody. It's pipe organ sounding...
