These little pads stop the slide and provide a place for your toes to grip (probably good for the calves!). They fit in the crease between toes and feet, so they don't add to the width or stretch the leather. Great little item and several in a pack. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great to stop your foot slipping forward in a shoe. *by M***A on September 2, 2022* The silicone pads are great to stop your foot from slipping forward in a shoe, whether wearing an open toe shoe/sandal or you are wearing a half size too large for comfort. I wear a 6.5 wide in dress shoes, but they didn't make wides in the shoe I wanted so I needed a size 7. I needed the larger size for the toe box of a closed toe shoe, but that made the heel slip off. So a pair of heel grips and using a set of the silicone pads, placed just a bit in front of the matatarsals, stopped the foot from slipping forward and the shoe stayed on my foot. No heel popping at all. I did find that when I first tried the brown pads, they were too smooth and would be best to pad the matatarsals. To prevent slipping forward the silicone pads worked best. I actually didn't even need to stick them down to the shoe. They fit snug enough in the width of my shoe. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Hurt Feet *by A***R on January 27, 2023* Would have been great if the depth of the product was thinner. The bumper rested on an odd spot on my foot so my feet were hurting in heels way sooner that they would have been without these.
