I received so many compliments on our Derby Day Excursion in Athens, OH!My daughter said that I needed to mention that when I walked out my door to get in the car I had an unfortunate incident. A bird from very far up let loose and it landed on my hat. TWO SPOTS and a direct hit. I guess I should be happy that I had a wide brimmed hat on. The reason I am telling this story is that I ran back inside and spot cleaned my hat and blew it dry. Like others mentioned, it arrived in an envelpe and somewhat flattened. I stuffed the hat with paper to "reshape" it and spray the ribbons and netting with spray starch to "fluff". The hat looked great and I received many compliments on it and the color (royal blue). The drawstring on the inside allows one to fit the hat. I had also ordered a purple one since I was not sure what outfit I would be wearing. I am guessing the styles are slightly different on each color since the purple and blue ones were different. While I did like the "style" of the purple hat better, I liked the royal blue color more and was glad I was able to wear that one.
