They are in my basement and survived water damage. My grandsons play on them so they are scuffed in spots but they’re still in good shape. They do get dents from furniture placed on them just as carpeting does. Nice mats but high traffic brings them up and they need to be tightened up. I want to clarify, real high traffic like 5000 people walking on it in 2 days. Nice mats overall. **Q: do I have to buy something for the edges placing in garage not putting cars on it?** A: These come with edge pieces for each set, so if you are buying multiple sets you will be using multiple sets, you will actually have extra edge pieces. They we’re super easy to install. Some of the edges are challenging to fit and it doesn’t like being put together in a non rectangular shape. I would’ve liked to be able to add pans in some spaces if that makes sense. The corners all need to line up. If a panel gets too scratched up (he does like scratching floors) I’ll just replace it with a new one. Easy to keep clean.
