Getting some mesh and quickset concrete. They have little bucket (no need for allot if just a small hole) and it will work just fine as long as it is just cosmetic **Q: Do you need to sand off existing paint before patching cracks in a wall with this product?** A: No. This stuff will seemingly stick to anything. I just did a patch in my ceiling and spread it over the portion painted with no issue. Great Stuff. **Q: Can it be molded to fill the hole for a dead bolt lock then allow for the plate to be screwed in?** A: I can’t see why not.
