Sometimes I keep a plastic straw in mine which it tall enough to sit just below the lid when closed so I can pull the straw up and drink from that when I open the bottle instead of the rim. The cup needs to be cleaned often when using the rim to drink- it gets funky. Eventually with aggressive use the paint on the outside for the logo and lines/measurements does wear off. This dark green color is a family favorite and we all grab it if it's available. It is NOT insulated and it does sweat if you put ice in it, but as frequent beachgoers it's still our fave for days at the beach and out in nature.
