Limited Functionality for Non-Everfocus Camera
While I bought my unit from another vendor, I am offering this review for amazon shoppers. Despite the claim on the packaging "Supports all brands of IP cameras", I found its support of my Q-See camera was very limited. It powers it OK, but the iPad App is extremely primitive - the only way to make it work was to figure out the RTSP URL. I found it courtesy of the iSpy site [...]or my system it was "[...]". Even so, the App will not rotate the picture to make it a reasonable size! Safari would not connect to the camera either. Yet the packaging has a large photo of a technician smiling as she looks at an iPad! On my Android smartphone, the App did nothing at all. On a Windows 7 machine, IE 11 could log onto the camera, and get a good image without using an App, so that is a good way to go if you have a Windows machine that you're willing to take to the top of the ladder with you!

Great tool...not for a novice user
This device is not for a novice user. It requires knowledge of networking to get it properly setup for viewing on tablets etc.I use this as a tool professionally and once setup properly it's a valuable tool to have.
