If not all can mix, what kind of groups cant go with it. My car holds 6l of oil.** A: Those that say you cannot mix are incorrect. ALL OIL MANUFACTURERS are required to allow their oil to mix. It is recommended to use synthetic with synthetic but if down a quart in a pinch, mineral (regular) motor oil or synthetic blend oil can be used. Try to use the same weight if possible, but if you have 5W-40 Synthetic in your car which is hard to find, and need to add or top off at a service station, use the more readily stocked 5W-30 if it's the only option.
