Continued on both of those for about 8 years. Following my divorce I decided that this doggo and I needed to get healthier again. Was skeptical due to price tag as being a single mom that traded FT work to care for a disabled child, a $70+ price tag for about 20lbs of dog chow is no joke. Bella had been in a house with 2 other dogs and liked to polish off her dish every night and the dishes for the other two dogs. Her weight upon retirement went from 62.5lbs to 98lbs. She had a positive test for Lymes a couple years ago but pain seemed to stem from just being overweight. I liked the idea of higher protein for her especially as she gets older and the vet agreed. In just under a year of using, she lost 15lbs. Her coat is sleek and soft (my daughter loves petting her) and she doesn’t seem to have any problems with pain or early arthritis now caused by weight anymore. She LOVES the taste of this food and I kinda feel like I’m giving her a snack rather than actual dog kibble. You can see the chunks of meat in the bag too. Last weekend we did a 2mile walk together for Autism Speaks fundraiser and she kept pace throughout! It’s expensive but I really feel like it’s worth it.
