I collect water in a 1 litre bottle and the filter screws directly onto the top of the bottle and i can squeeze the water through the bottle and into my cup or kettle the other side. The whistle removes from the top and you have a nice mouthpiece to drink or pour from.I have tried it with some "dubious looking water" and it has cleaned it every single time and my dogs don't turn their noses up at it (this was the real test for me as they know what's safe to drink and what isn't.I have no idea if it will last for a full 1500l but I figure i'll use it for one season of camping trips and then just buy a new one for the following year :) I can always try the old one with my dogs to ensure it's still keeping water filtered and clean.The compass works well but I have never had occasion to use it but it shows north as accurately as my mobile phone :)I have no recommended this to my dog walking and camping buddies: ) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Happy! *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2023* Good value for money, works exactly as it should.
