I have tried other coconut sugars but this one had a lighter flavor and none of the over cooked flavor some of the others have. I would say it's sort of like a "raw" sugar, golden caramel color, no coconut flavor or taste, dissolved instantly and was a nice addition to my green tea. It came in a ziptop pouch which was convenient. I read this comes from the coconut blossom not the actual coconut and that's why it doesn't taste like coconut. It's true but I can't seem to get my brain around that one. I use it for my coffee and it darkens the coffee after I've added the milk as well as bring a heaviness to it.
