I had to paint it with a matching table and it worked great. **Q: Has anyone used this on auto carpet?** A: I just painted some of the carpet on the doors and cargo area of my Suburban. I tested a spot of the velour in the back of the Suburban. The carpet took the paint well, though feels much rougher than previously. However, it looks much better than it did before with the stains and fades. the velour does not take the color well and it ends up turning really crusty. I'm glad I didn't apply it to the doors' velour panels. I would prefer them to be soft. I would also recommend several light coats; if you apply it too heavy it will crust up on the carpet. Take your time! Make sure to wash your hard plastics and get any oil or grease off them, use some acetone prior to spraying them with adhesion promotors and do multiple, light coats at different angles. The color matched the OEM plastic parts perfectly, it worked great on the felt/Velvet lining of the sunglasses holder as well as the soft vinyl sun visors. So far it's held up perfect and looks like the car came with black trim from the factory.
