It's like a non-American size chair). You can hold onto something while on the spinner... A couch back, a recliner back a very stable dining chair or bar stool chair of appropriate height for stabilizing. You do have to bend knees a little at minimum to balance and get the twist spin... with time, additional thoughts of bending knees further and adding small weights or holding yoga ball for balance exercise or adding stretch ropes to routine. There is No mention of how the magnets work. No promises of better health. It is what you see... It spins with your effort ... I use once or twice a day attempting to watch TV... With more use having comprehension that I have more control over direction. I find it difficult to fast forward DVR commercials when using. Hoping to get better.
