And the end result was honestly smoother and closer of a shave than I’ve had in a long time. The scent is not overpowering, and it’s definitely not greasy. One that is mainly alcohol. One that is mainly oil. And one that combines the two. The alcohol types are good for getting your beard to stand up, but without the oil there tends to be a lot of razor burn. The oil based offer a very smooth and comfortable shave, but since the beard doesn't stand up the shave isn't as close. This is an oil based lotion. I find it very comfortable, and it only takes about 5 drops to prepare my face for shaving. I don't get a very close shave but it's good enough. One thing to note: this does have a scent to it.
