He explained that the ones in the stores like Walmart etc, only have a foam in the arch but what was needed was more of a hard plastic. I bought a pair at the podiatrist that cost a fortune. I was very surprised by the quality of this insole. The arch seems to have some type of plastic embedded in it, holds the arch shape very well. As you can see in the video, my original insole is in bad shape. My boot size is 8.5 so I purchased the 8 - 8.5 size, no trimming required. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They worked great once I bought one size bigger *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2017* I wear a women's size 7.5 medium, and the first pair I bought (the 7 - 7.5) was definitely too small for my Reebok walking shoes. My big toe was not only hanging over the front, but also over the side edge as well. I then bought the 8 - 8.5 and it fits perfectly! I kept the too-small pair and decided to put them into some casual shoes where it won't matter so much if they are a bit short. I also found that the larger size lined up just fine with my arches, so I think if you are a half size, and you want to put these into athletic shoes, you are better off getting the next size up. I only regret that I couldn't buy them in the grey (they were out of my size) because the color would have been a perfect match.Since I only just purchased these, I can't tell you how long they will last, but for this price, I don't care if I have to replace them a couple times a year. Also, please note that you must be able to remove your current insoles if you want to use these. You cannot simply put them on top of the existing insoles.
