I did the work even with a pipe that had some water water running. Cheap item, and does the job right. This piece will allow you to connect and will last for years to come. I have used these in projects at home. And yes, for those of you wondering, this piece has a female thread on the inside. I provided images of the product to show. Pros: -Durable -Easy to install -Can be connected if some / to little water is running -Cheap! Ps: I used joint thread compound to secure fit.
