Thanks **Q: how big are the pieces?** A: They vary. Some, like the butterfly and sun, are about 3 inches long. Others are between 1-2 inches long. It's not a set I let my three year old take around the house. I'm afraid he'd drop a piece and we could have trouble finding it. I also wouldn't let an infant play with this alone; they could easily fit the smaller cloth pieces in their mouth. We use this at bedtime. I read the story, hand over each piece as it's mentioned and he builds the story.
