Some ice cream is. What I can tell you is that it tastes like plastic after 3 or 4 years. Don't let it get too old. **Q: Are these processed in a way that there might be cross contamination with coconut, tree nuts or peanuts?** A: The label does not say. **Q: How many bars are in each pack?** A: It depends on which one you select. I'm assuming it has a lot to do with the texture rather than the taste itself. The cookie part is crispy but melts in your mouth just as the ice cream does, but the ice cream almost has this sound of breaking styrofoam when you bite into it. The cookie part is chocolatey but not overly so. The ice cream has a good flavor if you allow it to melt slightly in your mouth. My 4 year old and 15 month old absolutely love these too. The price is kind if high for a snack youd reach for often, but as an occasional treat I think its reasonable. Most of the bars came intact, no air bubbles, and none were crushed.
