We use the hoist to raise the boxed crib, mattress, and spring up to the ceiling of our garage, out of the way. The hardest part of the installation was the overhead work of mounting the necessary 2x6's into which the pulleys are secured. The directions are good explain how to go about mounting to a ceiling with joists running either parallel or cross-wise to your load. There are appropriate cautions to consider to securely mount the system. The hardware and ropes all seem top quality. This was not terribly hard to install but definitely a half day project. I was a bit concerned about the small size being able to adequately support the top but its working very well and seems to be solid. I was able to get the top higher than before and it no longer is at head-bumping height. I love this thing and many others have recommended it. I installed one with a buddy in Spring 2018, which started the Jeep fever. Since then a local pilot hired me to put one in her garage, and I took those funds and bought my own. This is a must! Just remember to place your pulleys based on the side panel dimension and not the full length of the top (not super clear in the instructions) Buy this!
