When I drop one in the tank, the shrimp all crowd around it. I use feeding dishes (look like glass petri dishes) to help contain the "crumbs" and prevent the detritus worms from eating them. Usually the shrimp can finish this in a day. I've noticed that in a newer/non established tank, the shrimp don't eat these as much. I can't figure out why, if they are trying to acclimate to the conditions, or there's not enough shrimp to finish one.
