Review: Works great! - I bought this band in 2018. It's now Jan 2025 and it still works at heating my 5 gallon bucket. It uses Velcro and I put it around there snugly when I first got it but still loose enough where I can pull out the bucket to clean it. Then I slide it right back in. It has loosened a bit over the 6+ years I've had it. It still heats enough for my purpose so I haven't taken the time to redo the Velcro. How hot it gets depends on the room temperature. When the room is about 60 the temp feels like about 100-105F and when the room is 100 the temp is around 110F. If I tighten the Velcro and put a lid on the bucket it will go higher. For putting under a tank there are plenty of ruberized ones that are meant to lie flat and they are much cheaper. Search on reptile or germanation heating mats. **Q: How can i keep internal temp at no more than 80° F?** A: Ink bird dual stage thermostat **Q: If you fill a bucket with water... what temperature will it maintain? Figure 4 gallons. Im hoping for 125F.** A: It will get to this temperature. But there is no thermostat, so it will not maintain a constant temperature, it will just keep getting hotter. **Q: What is the height of this? Would it work on a rubber water bucket for a dog?** A: The height is 11 inches. The length is approximately 45 inches.
