This isn't full of fancy tricks nor does it have a remote control, but it seems to be a good basic unit. Within the first 15 minutes of using, it had already filled up its bin. It picked up cat and dog hair quite well which is what I purchased it for. It made its way from my hardwood floors to the low level room carpet most times, but gets hung up on a raised piece of connecting trim where one floor changes and meets another. I will try different settings and see if that helps. It does seem to focus on the edges of the room more so than the center. It can get itself out of a corner well. I love that there wasn't a novel sized instruction manual, rather it was simple and straight forward. Obviously translated by someone whose first language is not English, but easy to understand while getting a chuckle or two. I was very impressed with how much it picked up. The sole reason I bought this was cuz instead of traditional car litter, I use the pellets, thinking it wouldn't fly out as much as litter. Well... It's not as bad as litter, bit nonetheless, I still get pellets all over, so I was hoping this little thing would help. It does pick some of them up, however I don't think the slot into the dust bin is big enough so, not as many as I've hoped has made it into the bot, but I'm gonna see if some other adjustment work a little better. All in all its not very noisy, and as much of a scaredy cat my cat is, she's not that afraid of this thing. It's not overwhelmingly loud, but you will hear it. I don't think the battery lasted a whole hour on a charge but I wasn't really keeping that close of a track. It moves randomly but seems to get stuck easily, it will keep banging into the same corner for minutes without trying a new direction. Also it has a "circle" feature that has it move in a circle for more "dirty" areas. It moves in this mode most of the time. If they had a better algorithm to give this better random movement it would improve significantly.The vacuum power is weak. This will pick up dust and a small amount of pet hair. Really it is only good for "dusting" the floors.It does run for an hour before needing recharge, which is a decent run time. But it is loud. It is too loud, it is super annoying if you run it while watching TV. I only use it when I am doing things like laundry or otherwise cleaning the house.It does pick up dirt. But this is not really that beneficial. I only used it on hardwood floors.
