I was lucky in that my own car has power on the socket constantly, my work car only has power whilst running. So using either car whilst away would not of recharged it enough for the following nights usage, especially when parked up for the duration of your stay. Unless your prepared to stay with your car with engine running while the rest of your party go out for the day!! Yea right, it wouldn't be a viable option.
