It is sold for toy cars but I ordered it to revive my old Ryobi 24 volt string trimmer. The trimmer was replaced with an 18 volt trimmer because the batteries wore out and Ryobi stopped making 24 volt batteries. When I saw this adapter I decided to get it and use Kobalt 24 volt batteries for my old trimmer. I cut off the Ryobi base and installed this adapter in its place, wiring to the power lines inside the handle. It worked perfectly and brought my old trimmer back to life with Kobalt 24 volt batteries which were on a 2 for 1 sale. Why?
