A: Yes. You could put tea leaf in the filter.

**Q: Is the cord really only 5 inches or did you mean 5 feet?**
A: Sorry for the confusion. It is 5 feet long

**Q: What temperature does it store the coffee at? also is there a temperature adjustment?**
A: It will store coffee around 170 f. Temp is not adjustable

**Q: Based on your response, it is unclear.  Is there, in-fact, an auto shut-off to keep it from burning out if empty or not? It appears not.**
A: Sorry, there Is no reset button on the bottom

The pot did well for us. Unfortunately it quit working in 10 months. I contacted SYBO customer support and they were very helpful. I sent them copies of my receipts and photos of the pot and t hey refunded my money. They treated me fairly.
