I cam put them against the wall and keep them out of the way until then. I cut it to line the inside of 1 GAL, and 1 QT sized paint cans. Since lead pigs were too small for some of my samples. Depending on how spicy the sample is, I only need 1 to 3 layers in the can on all sides, to bring measurable levels down to background. Though where I live background radiation levels are higher than most other places, due to the amount of natural parent and daughter radioactive isotopes in the ground. So it wouldn’t get the outer wall of the can anywhere near close to background with this alone in Scotland or parts of Canada. Anywho, tin snips, pliers, and a rubber mallet are all I needed to cut and shape it as needed. I did try to solder the seams closed, but found that just made a lot of smoke and slag. So opted to just overlap, or fold joints. Most samples fit in the 1 QT sized cans that are lined. The rest in the 1 GAL cans. And a few really hot rocks are in both.
