A: They taste vegan to me

A: Not at all.  Great hangers.  I use them to hang up freshly washed clothes and I haven't noticed any discoloration.  Also the fabric is course so clothes to not slip of the hangers.

A: No, the hooks do not rotate

A: Not so far. Have only been using for several weeks.
