I like how wide the brim is, and I really like the stretchy cord around the hat to tighten the hat according to the child. The chin strap has velco and is pretty long on both my kids, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. My older son wears his hat everyday at daycare and anytime we go to the playground, and actually keeps it on. My younger son keeps it on for a good while too before pulling it off.
