The directions we lacking, and the parts were not labeled...hence the 4 stars instead of 5. But this lamp is stunning hanging in our foyer and puts out a TON of light. The diffuser is glass which gives it such an elegant look compared to ones I have seen that are plastic. Aesthetically, my only complaint is that the seam on the drum of the lamp is quite prominent. So think about that before you install, as I had to remount it once I realized the seam was facing the main room. Overall, very pleased and I would recommend purchasing this light.
