   Speed Unlimited #7601A Weld-On Fill Cap, Aluminum, Clear Anodized, 2 in. Outside Diameter, Steel Weld Fitting, Each.  These Speed Unlimited filler caps don't just get the job done, they are a CNC machined work of art. They begin life as a piece 2 1/2 in. 6061 aluminum bar stock, then they get CNC machined to shape with 1 1/2-20 in. thread, then the sweet hand grips are machined, and an o-ring seal installed. The weld fitting is also machined from a block of steel or aluminum which creates a heavy duty mount. These filler caps can be used as an overflow cap, valve cover cap, dry sump tank filler cap, a rear end filler and inspection port, or anything else you can think of.

I used tig to weld this into a very unique home-made tank. I went very slow and only did about 1/2 inch at time waiting for it to completely cool before welding more. The ring still warped! Crazy huh? Well maybe I just screwed so its my fault but I have been welding for while, so I doubt it. After the wring warps the cap no longer fits. So I filed away very carefully spending about 4 days grinding this by hand with a very small metal file. The end result a cool looking tank with a cap that gas splashes out of really bad.
