As I have gotten older, I have noticed that salicylic acid alone does not clear my acne. I have found that without an AHA, the congestion the BHA is trying to clear/expel gets stuck under my skin. I tried this product as an alternative to dermalogica's daily microfoliant because the microfoliant is expensive and would clump up with the moisture from the shower. I would say this is a cheaper alternative that does not get wasted from losing product to moisture absorption.
