Hasbro Gaming Cootie Game Brown/a

This new version doesn't work well with the slightly older cootie game, which is a disappointment because we were loving our cootie game and wanted more colors and replacements for the broken and missing parts. The legs aren't interchangeable between the bodies. The newer plastic for the yellow parts is thicker and less brittle so it makes for easier use and a lot less breakage. The die now has pictures of the part collecting, and the game board to hold the pieces waiting to be chosen is smaller. I kind of liked the regular die better because we were using an extra large die and that was fun for passing around with small children and how often you had to roll the die especially as you were waiting for all those 6 rolls to get the legs. The different color legs are fun. It is overall an improved version and still a fun game to play with little kids, they love creating their little cutie bug from all those choices. Mine was an open crushed box and one piece was missing, but my amazon warehouse price was lower than usual. I was purchasing for replacement parts, so I didn't mind, but now with all the changes I wish I would have purchased a new unopened game. This new version is nicer.

I gave this game a high rating because my grandkids play it often, they love it, and it has held up well. I don't believe it is as well made as the original version but it still is acceptable. Based on other reviews I chose to open the box and assemble the pieces before wrapping it for Christmas for my 5 year old and 3 year old grandchildren. This was a good decision because it took a while to put together properly and having 2 anxious grandchildren ready to help and/or play would have spoiled the fun and excitement and also made it hard to assemble properly. It is not complicated to assemble but the pieces need to be separated/broken from their plastic mold and the sharp edges carefully cut off and, in some cases, the remaining rough edges filed or sanded. The game itself is conceptually the same but instead of a die with numbers corresponding to the Cootie part, it has a picture representation of the part. I chuckled when I saw the grandkids find that simply putting the Cooties together without playing the game. There are many clever designs and colors in the game so there are many possible combinations. Our 3 year old granddaughter especially enjoys putting various Cootie designs together but she is also always ready to play the game.

Purchased Cootie for my granddaughter. I was quite surprised to find I had to detach all the legs and other accessories Freyja m holders rather than having the pieces ready to use. Some of the legs were a chore, and I had to file down some of the connectors especially for the legs. Once that was done, however, all the pieces are brightly colored and sturdy. My granddaughter (age 5) loves the game the way that I did as a child. I would definitely recommend this product - just realize you have to work it!

The game is fun for young kids. We have enjoyed playing it often with our soon to be 4 year-old. To me, the small drawbacks to this set are a couple of things. 1. The initial startup requires you to snap apart all of the plastic pieces from their mold. It was time consuming and just not easy at all. My fingers hurt! They were difficult to snap off and some pieces I ended up needing a strong scissor. 2. The box is very flimsy, almost like heavy cardstock. My son ended up ripping it accidentally. Also, the style of box leaves many areas open where the tiny pieces could fall out. In the end, I spent a bunch of time taping up most of the box to seal the edges and make it stronger. Also, I keep all of the pieces in a gallon size ziploc bag before putting in the box. Certainly, the price was right for me and we enjoy it.

Our granddaughter loves it - just like we did when we were kids!!!!!!

I’m a very poor Grammie, I purchase two games for my grandchildren to give them something for Christmas. I received them yesterday, on Dec. 23rd. Both games are damaged. The game boxes are so crushed, they look like second hand goods. I can’t give my grandchildren a gift for Christmas. You added more sadness to an already bad year. I just wanted to give them something. I’m very sad!!! Merry Christmas 🎄

I loved this game as a little kid, so I got it for my kids for Christmas. They also love it, but beware: the quality is very low. It was incredibly difficult to assemble—they send all the plastic pieces attached to their plastic frames, like the last person in the factory line was let go. It’s actually pretty difficult to put the pieces together while playing too, which is the opposite of the intention for a game for little kids! They don’t make them like they used to, etc etc, but if it’s under $10, still worth it for the amusement. Just set your expectations low.

Bought for 5 year old grandson. We play regularly. Always 2 out of 3 games wins. He loves it and finishing the bug is fun.

Es un juego padrisimo! Podemos jugarlo con peque de 3 años o peque de 6 años y se divierten muchísimo y hasta los adultos de 40 o de 70 se divierten, es un juego fácil de entender y relativamente rápido. Me encanto!

Bought it for my grandkids because their mom used to love it when she was little. They play it all the time

I bought this as a Christmas present so could not return it as I was over the 30days. My daughter had been asking for a bug game all year so I was very please to find one on amazon. I ordered early due to covid and expecting delays with shipping. It arrived and the box was old and broken, that could have happened in the post so I didn't fuss, but when my daughter opened it at Christmas the pieces had already been removed from their attachments and the bug bodies and heads had black marks. Still fine you can clean anything, but the worst was that two of the bugs were unable to be clipped together as they we male/male clips. So we only have 2 bug bodies. The legs are also very hard to stick in and they don't stay in. Needless to say after many disappointed tears the bug game will end up in the bin. Clearly it was a product that had been taken from the reject bin and resold.
