The cardboard quality is excellent - not too thick (so that they “fray”) but thick enough to provide a nice depth to the finished piece. Also - the picture layer adheres nicely to the cardboard layers without “lifting.” Most notably for me (and I am an experienced puzzler), the individual pieces are precisely cut and fit together well. That is not true of all manufacturers, which makes it frustrating to put the frame together initially. While the puzzle is difficult and sometimes requires grouping the various shapes to identify a missing piece (especially when the background is the same color), their puzzles always come together exactly in the end. Once together, they are absolutely beautiful.
