It has two settings - one standard and one with more pulsations. It feels a bit strange at first when you're not used to it but it's actually quite nice and relaxing. As it's a magnetic charger, you can use it in the shower which is what I do predominantly, as I use it when I shampoo my hair. Ive had it a few weeks but have noticed that my hair is shinier and seems to have more volume, I think the roots aren't so "stuck" to my scalp of that make sense.
