That is where the good stopped. Even with the adjustable sizing, these are too small to fit into position 1, on the roof. I suppose that you could install it but it would have a gap between the flange and the roof rail. I'm confident this isn't how they are supposed to fit because the flange has inset areas for the roof rails to fit into. It seems to be a gap of about 3/8".
