I have just past waist length straight hair, about 9-9.5 cm ponytail circumference, and they work very well in my slippery hair. They are very comfortable, too. I have fine hair but a lot of it. These clips come in a variety of sizes. I bought both the medium and small size. They glide into my hair very easily and they really do hold all day. They are strong enough to separate the opening so you can place them just right. They are cute as a hairpin or you can completely cover them. I really love the smaller size since my hair is long enough to twist into a high ponytail and wrap into a bun.
