When I've used mine, it always seems weak, no matter how much coffee i use.** A: Hi Vanessa it maybe because the water is flowing to fast trough the filter. Water flow on the fabric usually depends on the grind size of your coffee or tea. The finer the grain the longer it will take the water to flow Imagine verting water on a filter full of sand or a filter full of rocks. knowing your grind size is crucial to have a good extraction time for the coffee method you are using for example for expresso you want a fine grind or you may end up with an under extracted coffee ( most likely a very untasty coffee) because the water will flow to fast trough the grinded coffee. For dripping methods like the Chorreador I use a medium grind so the water flows constantly ( not too fast or to slow ) trying to vert the water circularity over even and compacted coffee. This should give you a stronger coffee. another tecnique we use in CR is to mix the the coffee with the hot water for a about two minutes and then pour it trough the filter this is called café apagado. **Q: Does the handle for the bag come included?** A: Yes, the drip bag "sock" does come with an attached handle. **Q: Does this also support putting a ceramic pour over dripper cup in place of the cloth bag (e.g. the Hario size 02 ceramic coffee dripper)? The base that rests on the cup is about 4 and 1/4" Our traditional Costa Rican coffee driper ring is 2 3/4" so if you when you place the hario it will be a little loose on the bottom ring but the top ring should sit fine on the top.
