I recommend ordering a size up to get the upper part long enough. Most "nylon-type" compression stockings are somewhat unattractive. They tend to look thicker and wrinkle in the ankle area. I wear those when I'm hanging out at home, but sometimes I want to go out into the world and look pretty. These Healthweir stockings are fantastic for that. Their compression is lower than I usually wear, but they work fine for those occasions and they're very attractive (I just wish they'd lose the reinforced heel). I personally find them to be much longer lasting than typical pantyhose or support hose: they rarely run and I get a lot of wear out of them before I see any runs. Usually the reinforced toe area is the first to go for me, and I can still wear them for quite awhile even then.I love the stockings and recommend them. HOWEVER, the last TWO TIMES I've ordered from Amazon, they've sent me the wrong stockings!!! Twice I ordered the PANTYHOSE style and I was sent THIGH HIGHS, which I really dislike. And yes, I'm absolutely certain I ordered the pantyhose. I would've removed more stars for this alone, but the stockings truly are good. I recently discovered that Healthweir has their own website and the pantyhose are almost the same price and have free shipping. So that's where I'll be ordering in the future.
