I was trying to boil several containers to cleanse it before making tea to get the "new pot" taste out. It worked about three times then would not turn on again. I tried several times, it turned on sometimes but then not other times.Update: customer service e mailed me today that the kettle needs to rest between uses. As I have already returned it I cannot verify this.Perhaps this information should be in the instruction booklet.
