## Description

Product description

Review: reduces fatigue and helps with carpal tunnel pain when riding - I ordered the XL version of the grips, and I'm glad I did. The factory grips on my Giant Trance Advanced were very thin, and most of the texture had worn off, requiring a replacement. I ready dozens of articles and reviews of various grips on the market, and decided to go with the Loams. I often find myself having to have out my hands on rides, and almost always end up having a tingling and numbness for hours after a ride. Some research led me to going with a fatter grip than the stock Giant Lock-ons. Once installed, I could immediately feel a difference. The grip felt a little fatter, but not so much that it seemed unusual. The rubber compound offers a lot of purchase on the bars, and the texture is pleasant when riding without gloves. I do ride with gloves nearly all the time, and they also grip extremely well when wearing them. About an hour into a ride, I'm usually feeling the need to shake my hands out to relieve some pain. With the new grips installed, I wasn't feeling that anywhere near as soon. I do have issues with carpal tunnel syndrome, and I believe the fatter grip helped prevent that from being aggravated as quickly. I would like to see the grip include protective end caps, since I sometimes load the bit in the bed of my truck, and occasionally do wreck.I haven't had the grips installed long enough to observe any damage from doing so yet, and maybe it will not be an issue at all. Something I did notice is the grips do not slide on as far as the factory grips, so there was more of a gap between the grip and levers. Overall, it widened the bars by around 3/4 of an inch compared to the original setup. If I notice any trouble getting used to the position f the levers, I'll move them closer to the grips, or if I really like the grips and plan on replacing them with the same thing in the future, I may shorten the bars a bit to tighten things up. So far, it's not enough of a difference to change the way the bike handles on the trails. Overall, I'm very happy to have chosen these grips. They feel great, look good, and come at a reasonable price point. With two sizes and many colors to choose from, it's not hard to find a combination to suit most people's needs. They seem to make my ride less troublesome to my hands.
Review: Just Get Them - Bought these Loam grips to settle the chatter from the Trek FX+2 alloy frame. I am getting so jarred and hands fatigue riding this bike than any other. I was skeptical being rubber b/c I love my ESI racer edge grips. So, are they as plush as ESI, nope. Their advantage comes from being ribbed, which I did not realize until getting them installed. As a rule, lock on grips are less comfortable than ESI or other slide on grips due to lock sleeve - hard plastic - under. But somehow, the ribs allow the hand to move and be supported in such a way as to feel comfortable for long or short duration rides. not so thick around you cannot hold tight. but also not so thin as to allow excess vibrations. There is a reason so many ppl rave about them and they consistently get 5-star reviews. That they come in tan (Peanut Butter) color to perfectly match my el natural shade of Brooks B17 does not hurt either. Def worth the try and money well spent. I have paid more for less fatigue fighting grips so I am very happy with how they perform. I do still prefer ESI for comfort where they are the best, but for ease of install and ability to swap on and off bikes, these edge them out overall.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfy, Grippy, and Good Looking!
*by E***R on June 30, 2025*

I first got these grips due to a hand injury and my shop recommending thicker grips. I am now on my third pair and love them for the key points below. 1. The Extra Large thickness helps to mitigate fatigue and reduce vibrations. 2. They are super tacky and the rubber compound stays grippy for a long time. 3. There is a very slight flange at the collar, and that helps to provide a stop to keep my hands from sliding around too much. 4. They come in tons of colors:)
