I'm actually impressed
I was skeptical when I initially thought to purchase this over a more expensive throttle body spacer but I figured I'd try this one for a lot less, after researching. I understand the controversy and know that a lot of people say that these parts "don't work" but if you look at dyno results you usually see at least some improvement on older vehicles with spacers. After putting this on my 2001, 4.0L SOHC Ford Explorer I did notice a slight difference. There is a little tighter throttle response though hardly noticeable. The most drastic change was cruising at speed on the highway at a lower RPM. The vehicle pulls a lot cleaner than it did before and is more pleasant to drive. It's basically paid for itself as well with the slight improvement in fuel economy. I now save about 1 - 2 mpg after testing. The only down side is that between 2500 and 3000 RPM the EconoAid produces a slight whistle noise. It's not a leak, it's most likely the metal resonating as the air travels through the fins. All in all I'm very happy spending the money!

Throttle body spacer
Waste of money does nothing to improve performance at all. There are many other products out there that will be better choice for improvement.

Econoaid
Used on a 2006 Ford Mustang Pony 4.0. Noticed a difference in the performance and fuel economy the first time I took the car out. Pretty impressive considering the price.Have been using for awhile now. Still impressed. Have noticed a significant increase in fuel mileage. I would expect that the item will pay for itself shortly at the current gas prices.

Nice product, but it does not fit a 99 Mustang Cobra.
Nice product, but it does not fit a 99 Mustang Cobra, as Amazon says.

3mpg roughly gained
Ok. So according to my results on my 2005 V6 i have gained 4mpg based on one before test tank and 3 after test tanks. Revs never exceeded 3500, only exeeded 2800 maybe once or twice each tank. 19.5mpg before and 24mpg after. Thats a 4.5 mpg difference based on my results. But my results are not perfect. The before econonaid test tank was the tank JUST after installing a K&N drop in filter(60$ with cleaner+oil to reuse it, i recomend it highly, sounds good and throaty for a drop in), taylor street thunder wires (38$, i recomend if your wires are older than 120k km) and an Accel coil pack (89$, highly recomend). But, before all those other parts i put in before the econoaid i was getting 16.8 mpg. But anyways, because of all those other parts i put in and because my driving isnt perfect i think saying the econoaid gained me a solid 3mpg at the very least. Fuel filter has 3000 km on it. Oil was fresh just the cheap castrol not sythetic. Regular gas used on all 4 test tanks, doing another test tank on premium now. Car is a 4.0L 2005 V6 with a 5 speed. Live far north in canada, -20 celcius consistant temperature during the two weeks of test tanks.TL;DR - gained 4.5mpg according to results, but because testing wasn't perfect i'd say 3mpg atleast.
