Review: OK as Machine Alarm - This flashing light with audible alarm works OK in a room or limited outdoor area. Mine has survived one driving rainstorm to date. Time will tell how long it takes the hot sun to make the plastic brittle. The 90dB alarm does not carry far outdoors and may or may not intimidate intruders. For the price, you can't have everything.

We installed it on a pump on our septic tank because we had a pump failure when we had heavy rains this spring. The problems we have encountered are seeing the flashing red light in daylight AND the high pitch of the alarm signal. I can barely hear the alarm from inside the house and my husband can't hear it at all because of the high pitch.
