I have a low pile carpet and it works GREAT! **Q: where can I get a replacement filter for this model?** A: All 4 of this model’s filters are washable. The first level is a metal cone with small holes, the second a thick and dense sponge that are quite robust and not easy to damage. The third and fourth layer are delicate and provide HEPA filtration. If washed carefully without distorting or stretching the filters you will not have to buy any filters **Q: Can you deactivate the rollers? As when using on hard floors.** A: No, but it would not clean bare floors as efficiently if you did. You can, however, choose between two roller speeds, the slower speed being intended for smooth surfaces. There are two rollers on this. The first is a self-cleaning soft plush one that is very good at picking up hair and dust. The second is more like a traditional vacuum roller brush, but it has flexible 'fins' instead of the 'beater bars' found on some vacuums, which should be much kinder to your floors. I've been using it on hardwood parquet for about two months, and it performs very nicely. No marks or wear to the surface of the floor noted as yet, if that is your concern. **Q: Why cant it state cord lengh?** A: I don't know why the cord length isn't included in the description. I find it is adequate for my bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. I have a centrally located power outlet in my living room.
