The pictures make it look like there are irregulra bends or curves.** A: AmorArc has 2 lines of dishes, these, described as handmade, are slightly irregular. I have these and love them. I did not like the irregular plates, so I mixed and matched these bowls with the regular plates in the same glaze. Their regular (not handmade) cereal bowls are a different shape. **Q: These bowls are advertised as being "free of lead and cadmium." Are they truly lead free, or just meet the lead standard?** A: I take them at their word they are lead free. I love the color (I got the cereal bowls, 10” plates, and pasta bowls all in the same color). They all arrived identical in color. Nothing was broken or “off”. They have all been in the dishwasher (top rack and bottom) and have done just fine. They have a handmade, pottery like weight to them, heavy enough to feel high end, but not so heavy they are cumbersome.
