If you have this camcorder the port on the camcorder is a 4 pin. I would check all your PCs and laptops to see if you have a IEEE 1394 / firewire 4 pin or 6 pin available.The photo attached will you help you differentiate between the 4 and 6 pin cable and ports. Those are the symbols to look for to make sure you have it pc / laptop.Transferring to PC1) I had to unplug and re-plug the firewire to get it to load automatically, I wasn't sure how to load the camera interface any other way.2) You can choose to import full video or choose which parts with camera software that automatically loads.3) When imported it was a WLMP file and i just used Windows Maker (free) to convert to mp4.
